WHY? Should you come out that night? Well, there’s the beer and we’ll say the word “breast” at least 50 times…
Okay, seriously…one in every nine Canadian women will be diagnosed with breast cancer during her lifetime. One in 27 will die of it. Maybe someone in your life has been affected…your mother, sister, daughter, or a friend. This is your chance to make a difference for someone you love or be a super hero to someone you haven’t even met (sorry, cape is not included, but the good karma is!).
This coming August 16th & 17th Kim and Allison will be participating in The Weekend to End Breast Cancer. The Weekend is a two day, 60 km event that benefits the BC Cancer foundation. Our team of two (aka THE MILKSHAKERS) has committed to raising $6,000 and we thought this would be a great way to raise funds for this very important cause. Net proceeds from the evening will go to the walk.
So, please come out for a fun night out. Eat a little, drink a little, shake your bootie (seriously…Colonel Panic is a FUN band) and feel good about the contribution you will be making to the BC Cancer Foundation. Spread the word to your friends, family, coworkers, sports team, that guy/girl you’ve been thinking about asking out for three months but don’t have the guts too, but they’d probably be into food/beer/breasts (hey…it IS what we’re all there for!). The reason is up to you, but we will truly appreciate your support.
Sincerely,
Allison & Kim
